The notes should be readable without a steady hand on a mouse.

We aim at the practices in WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That sentence is a direction, not a certificate and not a claim that every page has been formally audited. If a barrier stops you, write to us.

What is built in

  • A skip link at the top of each page moves focus to the main content.
  • Pages use one h1 and a visible heading order.
  • The menu button exposes its open and closed state. Escape closes the menu.
  • The notes menu is a native disclosure, so it works without the script that runs the mobile panel.
  • Links in text are underlined, not indicated by color alone.
  • Focus is visible. Long text is set in a large serif on a light paper background, with a clear sans serif for navigation and buttons. Orange marks links and labels. It is not the only way to tell a control from body text.
  • Photographs have alt text that describes the picture. Decorative marks are hidden from assistive technology where they are empty.
  • If you set reduced motion in your system, entrance motion and image zoom on hover are turned off.
  • The cookie panel can be closed with Escape. Settings can be reopened from the footer and from the cookie policy.

Known limits

  • The layout sketch is a visual diagram with a text caption beside it. The caption is the accessible description. The colored blocks repeat the same words.
  • Some photographs are complex rooms. The alt text names the objects that matter to the note, not every cushion.
  • We have not commissioned a third-party audit. A report from you is how we learn about a miss.

Report a barrier

Email [email protected] with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive tool if you know it. You can also call +1 (201) 601-0909 or write to 290 County Ave, Secaucus, NJ 07094. We read these reports and correct what we can. We do not promise a time window.
